Lenovo K4 Note Marshmallow Update Date

On 1st June 2016, Lenovo announced that K4 Note will start receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update automatically via OTA.

OTA means over the air, which means updated over Wifi without the help of a computer.

Your K4 Note will automatically search for the available updates and will present the option to you to download and apply the update.

Lenovo K4 Note Colours

Lenovo K4 Note Camera Review

The Lenovo K4 Note packs in a 13 Megapixel Camera with an aperture of 2.2. It has one of the best cameras in the budget price range and provides, vibrant, crisp and noise free images.

In HDR mode, the shutter speed can be a little slow but its not a problem for normal pictures. You might feel this only if you are a professional or a hobbyist who like to take a lot of pictures with manual controls on your phone.

In low light, the camera did perform well but as expected, there is more noise in the pictures when taken in low light.

The front camera performs really well and you can click great selfies with it.

Since the Lenovo K5 Note is now officially launched (grab yours here), we will compare the camera of the K4 note with the K5 note to see a more detailed comparison of the specifications.

Lenovo K4 Note Pros and Cons and Problems

No smartphone is perfect and the Lenovo K4 Note is no exception.

These are some common issues that people face while using the Lenovo K4 Note.

  1. Heating Issue : A smartphone heating up is very common. Usually phones heat up when doing high CPU usage tasks like playing heavy games, but many users have reported that their K4 Note would heat up for no reason at all.
  2. No Radiation Data : Most smartphones publish information like SAR value which denotes how much radiation the phone has while operating. But, Lenovo decides not to release any SAR data about the K4 Note.
  3. No Fast Charging : Sadly, the K4 note does not support fast charging which is now becoming common in budget phones also. I believe that they reserved this feature for the K5 Note.
  4. Extra less useful software : Lenovo bundles a lot of useless apps with the K$ note which are not useful at all. These apps combined take up more than 1 GB of internal memory. The worst part is that you cannot even un-install them.
  5. No HDMI Out : Yes, you read it right, you cannot output HDMI video from the K4 note. HDMI and MHL both are not supported.
